The Shoes of the Dream Team are up for sale

The decision to first allow NBA players to compete in the Olympic games gave birth to what I feel unequivocally was the greatest basketball team ever, the “Dream Team”. That team, bursting at the seams with hall of famers and was  also instrumental in the globalization of basketball , steamrolled through the games en route to the gold medal.

The team, literally, is the stuff of legend and now fans and collectors alike now have a chance to score some major Dream Team memorabilia, namely kicks worn by every member of the fabled squad. Dr. David Fischer was the team physician for the 1992 team. During the games, he acquired game worn kicks from every member of the team.

The sneakers are currently up for auction at Heritage Auctions and if you want to even have a chance at a pair, you will have to come correct. The cheapest of the shoes are $300, while the Olympic Air Jordan VII’s sit at $16,000. Here are the shoes you can bid on here.
