Albany State’s women basketball signs first for ‘19-20 class

Fason, a 5-foot-11 forward for Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Colorado, is averaging 5.0 points and 5.3 rebounds so far in her senior campaign. Albany State ends losing streak with 79-72 win over LeMoyne-Owen

The Albany State Golden Rams Men’s Basketball team returned to post-holiday action by defeating LeMoyne-Owen 79-72. Up until approximately midway point of the first half, the game was a back and forth affair with both teams taking turns leading, with neither team getting out by no more than two points. Albany State won its seventh consecutive game and completed SIAC Eastern Division confefence play with an unblemished 6-0 record with a dominating 40-6 victory in the 29th Annual Fountain City Classic. Returning to the confines of historic Hugh Mills Stadium for the first time in over ten years, Albany State won its fifth game in row by rolling over Clark-Atlanta 36-3 in ASU’s homecoming game. Albany State gives Morehouse first loss of season 41-19

Albany State’s quarterback Kelias Williams had a career day. He completed 16 of 18 passes  for a career high 254 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Rams defeated Morehouse 41-19, giving the Marron Tigers their first loss of the season. Albany State took a 3-0 lead on Gabriel Ballinas’ 47-yard field goal with 2:47 left in the first quarter.
