Albany State won its seventh consecutive game and completed SIAC Eastern Division confefence play with an unblemished 6-0 record with a dominating 40-6 victory in the 29th Annual Fountain City Classic. Johnson Stadium. It is ASU’s first shutout since their 38-0 Homecoming win over Morehouse in 2015. Albany State gives Morehouse first loss of season 41-19

Albany State’s quarterback Kelias Williams had a career day. He completed 16 of 18 passes  for a career high 254 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Rams defeated Morehouse 41-19, giving the Marron Tigers their first loss of the season. Morehouse v Albany State pushed back to Sunday due to Hurricane Micheal

Morehouse’s (6-0, 2-0 SIAC) athletics department announced earlier today that its SIAC eastern division opening game versus Albany State(3-3, 2-0 SIAC) that was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 13 has been pushed back to Sunday, October 14 because of the damage in Albany caused by Hurricane Michael. Kickoff will now be at 1:00 p.m. EST at B.T. Harvey Stadium on Morehouse’s campus. The contest will also be streamed live on FloSports, with the pregame starting at 12:45.

The Albany State offense racked up 500 yards of total offense on their way to squaring their record at 3-3 by defeating Catawba College 35-21 at Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, North Carolina. Saturday’s game between the Albany State Golden Rams and the Golden Bears of Miles College started at 8:05, a little more than an hour later than its scheduled 7p.m. kickoff time due to lightning and heavy rain. Albany State names Patrick Gayle as Men’s Basketball Coach

Albany State introduced Patrick Gayle as their new Men’s Basketball coach as a press conference earlier this week. Gayle comes to the Golden Rams after compiling a 125-51 record , two regular season conference championships and four NAIA tournament berths in six seasons as the head coach at Division II St. Thomas University. Last season he led St.Thomas to a 23-8 record and the Sun Conference regular season title. Gayle was also named the Sun Conference Coach of the Year.
