ASICS wins patent case against Chinese brand

ASICS recently scored a court victory against a Chinese brand that was attempting to use branding that drew more than a passing resemblance to ASCIS’s striped logo. The decision, rendered by the China National Intellectual Property Administration’s (CNIPA) Reexamination and invalidation Department invalidated a patent held by Qiaodan Sports Co. Ltd, was in conflict with ASICS’ pre-existing rights. In an in precedented and unexpected move, ASICS has dropped a new colorway of the Gel Lyte III, this time in the “Dragon Fruit” aesthetic. It sports a lilac base overlaid by turquoise and pink leathers. The midfoot area features black ASICS logos on the lateral and medial sides. Sean Wotherspoon treated the world to pictures of a new ASICS Gel Lyte III collaboration which appears to connected to atmos. The pictured Gel Lyte III sports multi-colored corduroy panels across its uppers. Ronnie Fieg and ASICS have another collaborating on another project, a ‘Super Blue” Gel Lyte 3.1, nicknamed the “Gel Fieg” 3.1. Onitsuka Tiger releases Street Fighter collab

This collaboration between Onitsuka Tiger and the popular video game franchise, Street Fighter. The two shoe collection features two pair, one white and the other yellow, of their Mexico 66 SD silhouette, a shoe that character Chun-LI was wearing in Street Fighter V.
