Derrick Rose out at least eight weeks after ankle procedure

Wednesday evening the New York Knicks announced that guard Derrick Rose had successfully undergone surgery on his injured right ankle. Rose suffered the injury December 16 against the Houston Rockets and it also sidelined him for the club’s next two ballgames. Thought the initial announcement has him out at least eight weeks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski there is hope that the former league MVP could be back closer to six weeks.
