The upcoming holiday season will see the debut of the “Game Royal” Air Jordan 12. JD Sports to acquire Hibbett Sports

JD Sports said Tuesday it plans to acquire 100 percent of Hibbett, which is quoted on the Nasdaq, for a price of $87.50 per share, in cash, implying an enterprise value of $1.11 billion. Nike to layoff 740 WHQ workers

Courtesy of Shosy Ciment, Footwear News Nike‘s layoffs at its Beaverton, Ore. headquarters will have impacted hundreds of employees by June, according to a WARN notice filed with the state of Oregon on Friday.  Nike said in the filing that by June 28, 740 employees will have been let go as part of two rounds of layoffs. Nike confirmed that it was laying off 2 percent of its workforce in February. According to zsneakerheadz, the “Olympic” Air Jordan 6 is making its return this August.  Initially debuting back in 2000 and again in 2012, the third retail run is in the works.  Images of the upcoming release have emerged and what we see is a perforated,  tumbled navy leather under layer.over top sits white tumbled leather that forms the stylized “23” that is one of the defining visual features of the VI.  Midnight navy can also be seen at the inner, tongue, and on the white-striped rear spoiler. The release calendar for 2025 continues to heat up.  The black /red Air Jordan 1 was last  seen in 2016 , but has also released in both a satin in patent iterations in recent years. The no.1 overall pick in this week’s WNBA Draft, Iowa guard Caitlin Clark, is reportedly close to finalizing an endorsement deal with Nike, according to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania.  Charania adds there are plans for a signature shoe for Clark.  The Iowa State star has been a media darling for most of the season and throughout the NCAA Tournament.
