The Albany State University football team grows its winning streak to three on Saturday evening as the Golden Rams defeated the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University 21-0 in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) cross division contest at the ASU Coliseum.

Fort Valley State 33, Florida Tech 29

The Wildcats defense came to play in the second half Saturday night. On 4th-and-goal from their 12-yardline, the Fort Valley State defense broke up the pass and sealed the upset of Florida Tech, 33-29, in the biggest victory of first half of the season.

Miles 31, Clark Atlanta 27

Homecomings on college campuses are usually something to remember.

After Miles pulled off a heroic come-from-behind 31-27 win over Clark Atlanta in the wee hours of Sunday morning, the Golden Bears might mark Homecoming 2019 as one they will never forget.

Central State 28, Edward Waters (Fla.) 21

The Central State Marauders jumped ahead 14-0 and hung on late to defeat the Edward Waters Tigers, 28-21, on Saturday. 

CSU came away with four interceptions on the afternoon. A 100-yard interception return by Malik Johnson and a 98-yard kickoff return by Derell Williams helped propel CSU to the non-conference win.

With the victory, CSU improves to 2-3 overall while Edward Waters remains winless dropping to 0-5 on the year.

Morehouse 33, Kentucky State 24
The Maroon Tiger’s explosive fourth quarter offense helped them to a come-from-behind win and end their three-game losing streak as they beat the Kentucky State Thorobreds 33-24 at B.T. Harvey stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Maroon Tigers improve to (2-3, 0-1 SIAC) while the Thorobreds fall to (2-2, 0-1 SIAC).

University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff 45, Lane 38

A 98-yard touchdown pushed University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff to the end zone to brake a 38-38 tie sealing the 45-38 homecoming win for the Lions over the Dragons on Saturday at Simmons Bank Field.

Charleston Southern University 24, Savannah State 19

After a dominating first half performance, the Savannah State Football team dropped a close battle to Charleston Southern on Saturday, falling 19-24 to the Buccaneers in Charleston, S.C.

Savannah State, in their first year competing as a Division II team, falls to 3-2 on the season as the Buccaneers pick up their first win moving to 1-4 on their homecoming night. CSU, a Division I FCS team, leads the non-conference, inter-divisional series, 9-1.
