Boston Celtics announced that point guard Kyrie Irving will miss the team’s Tuesday game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a left hip strain. After missing a few games due to injury over the past week, Irving played in back to back games to kick off February. Irving has averaged 23.8 points and 7.0 assists this season.

Sixers will not sign Brewer for season’s remainder

It appears that the Philadelphia Sixers will not be retaining the services of veteran wing Corey Brewer for the rest of the season. The team had signed Brewer to a 10-day contract on January 15 and then to a second deal on January 25. Brewer had seemed to play well, adding a veteran toughness and another still capable defender to the team.
