Brett Brown will be back as Sixers head coach

In a move that should fall under the “duh” category, the Philadelphia 76ers will retain head coach Brett Brown for next season, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski from Sixers managing partner Josh Harris. Saturday, Marc Stein of the New York Times reported that Brown’s future was on shaky outcome ( which in and of itself is complete lunacy) pending the outcome of the 76ers’ second round playoff series against the Toronto Raptors. When the Golden State Warriors hit the court for game one of the Western Conference Finals, DeMarcus Cousins nor Kevin Durant will be in their lineup.  Both All-Stars suffered potential injuries that initially looked like they could keep them out an extended period of time. Blazers’ Hood has Bone Bruise

After hyperextending his left knee in the Trail Blazers’ game seven win over the Denver Nuggets, there was concern over if and when Hood would be available for the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors. Hood underwent an MRI, and much to everyone’s relief, it came back clean and his status has been listed as day-to-day for the conference finals. From nbl.com.au : NBL Rookie of the Year Harry Froling says his pre-draft workout with Utah Jazz was a “really good experience”, as he continues to showcase his skillset ahead of June’s NBA Draft. Michigan’s John Beilein signs 5-year deal to become Cavaliers Head Coach

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Michigan’s head basketball coach John Beilein have agreed on a five-year deal for him to assume the franchise’s head coach vacancy. Beilein has been the Wolverines’ head coach since 2007. In his time he compiled a 278-150 record, including nine trips to the NCAA tournament and two appearances in the title game.
