(April 4, 2022) – Ras Jesse Delancy (Benedict) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while Joelvi Jimenez (Edward Waters) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday. Marcus Franck (Central State) was also tabbed Setter of the Week. Olivia Townsend (Benedict) was named Player of the Week, while Alexandra Ballester (Spring Hill) earned Pitcher of the Week honors. PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Townsend, Benedict, Pitcher  |  Freshman |  Hernando, FL Townsend hit .571 in five games, with a slugging percentage of 1.429. In their series with Allen University, the Albany State offense has been quite lively, generating 23 runs through the first two games.
