K-Swiss is releasing shoes for video gamers

Proper footwear can help you perform at your best , from attacking the rim to climbing Mt Everest- and now your can add video gaming to that list.

K-Swiss has launched the Icon Knit , the first  collaboration between a sneaker brand and the esports team the “Immortals”. The low collared sneaker features a sleek mesh upper with an attached cage and sits atop a foam midsole and outsole. The Icon Knit comes in the team’s colors , black and cyan and they come in both men’s and women’s sizes.

Bloomberg reports that next year, K-Swiss will debut a shoe called the “Grandmaster”, which will be the “performance” version of the Icon Knit will be available in mid 2019.

K-Swiss designers will sit-in on Immortals team members as they trains to see how they move as they game. Apparently heat dissipation should be a primary focus for the K-Swiss , as apparently some of the players have complained about their feet getting hot when sitting for extended periods of time. Comfort will also be at top of concerns for the K-Swiss team to address. GQ reports that due to the amount of travel the Immortals undertake, the Grandmaster will need to be a shoe they, and other gamers, can wear while on the move or competing.
