Anticlimactic Final Four culminates in UNC/Nova title clash

So here we are, just a few short hours away from the culmination of the college basketball season. The Final Four has come and went and ,considering some of the games we’d witnessed earlier in the tournament, the contests themselves were underwhelming. In the first game, Villanova served Oklahoma a record setting 45-point beatdown, 95-51. Naismith Player of the Year, Buddy Hield was dogged by the wildcat defense into a 9 point outing.

The nightcap saw North Carolina defeat Syracuse, 83-66. The Orangemen tried their darnedest at times to make it interesting, but they could never hit that big shot or contend with UNC’s size on the inside.

Tonight the Wildcats and Tar Heels will square off to decide who will be cutting the nets down. I am just hoping for a more competitive game that either of the Final Four contests. Although both teams are playing very well, I do think UNC’s size and defense will be too much for Villanova to overcome.
