While at a Dallas area McDonald’s during their bye week, Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch made a difference in the life of one of the workers there. After 17-year old Terrance Downs complimented Lynch on his Buscemi sneakers, the two struck up a conversation.

When asked about the encounter by TMZ Sports, young Downs had this to say:

“I told him I liked his shoes — navy blue Buscemis — and how I wanted to buy a pair and we all started talking”

Lynch then asked the young man about his education and what he wanted to do in life, to which  he said that he was interested in fashion and aspired to own his own boutique. To Downs’ surprise the NFL star gives him $500 and said to him, ” If you’re serious about getting these shoes, here’s some money to help you get ’em. My job is to continue to see you grow.”

In these times of constantly being bombarded with negative news, stories such as this and that of teammate Ricardo Lockette need to be shouted from the rooftops.
