Brooklyn Nets waive David Nwaba

In a move that’s easiest the most cold-blooded of the young year, The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania reports the Brooklyn Nets have waived forward David Nwaba.

While cutting a player , while unfortunate is seen as one of the necessary evils of the business side of basketball, doing it while a player is recovering from season-ending ( and potentially career-ending or career-altering) injury seems a bit foul.

Nwaba suffered the injury December 19 against the San Antonio Spurs. In the twenty games he appeared in , Nwaba averaged 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds.
