The Olympic Qualifying Tournaments will begin tomorrow and the national teams have been trimming down their selection to the final roster. Canada has certainly done so and the final list includes quite a bit of talent with eight NBA players leading the charge.

The 12-man roster of the Canadian national team for the qualifiers is as follows: Andrew Wiggins, Andrew Nicholson, Mychal Mulder, Luguentz Dort, R.J. Barrett, Trae Bell-Haynes, Aaron Doornekamp, Anthony Bennett, Trey Lyles, Dwight Powell, Cory Joseph, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

Canada’s last participation in the Olympics was back in 2000 and they won’t have an easy path towards returning to the big stage. They are hosting the tournament in Victoria and are in Group A with Greece and China. In Group B await Turkey, the Czech Republic and Uruguay.
