Cavaliers trade Kyle Korver to Jazz

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the Cleveland Cavaliers traded veteran sharpshooter to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Alec Burks and two future second-round picks.

Korver had been averaging 6.8 points in 15.7 minutes per contest while shooting 46.3 percent from three-point range.

He joins a Utah Jazz team that has the second-worst three point percentage in the NBA at 31.9 percent and is in need of his outside shooting.

This will be Korver’s second run with the Jazz. He previously played with the club from the 2007-08 season until the 2009-10 season. He posted numbers of 8.7 points and 41.6 percent from three in 21.7 minutes per contest.

Trading Korver is likely the writing on the wall for other Cavaliers veterans, particularly J.R. Smith who the team has also been lookng to move.
