CIAA fans can watch the conference tournament via livestream

If you will be unable to make it down to Charlotte or down to the Bojangles Coliseum and Spectrum Center for the CIAA tournament, you still have a way to take in the games.

Earlier today, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced live streaming coverage games for its 2019 Men’s and Women’s conference basketball tournament.

The 24 games of the men’s and women’s tournament will be offered on the CIAA Sports Network via a hybrid model accessible via a subscription service or on Aspire TV. Early round games will be exclusive to the CIAASN, with an individual games starting at $7.95. Another packages features all the men’s games or all the women’s games for $29.95. Anyone who wants to partake all of the games can get the full 24-game package for $49.95. All streamed games will be accompanied by live statistics and play-by-play scroll.

The CIAASN will also offer free on-demand access to post-game interviews. Fans can also take in action on the CIAASN, the CIAASN iOS and Android mobile applications and the CIAASN OTT applications for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV.

CIAA Senior Associate Commissioner for Strategic Marketing and External Operations Suzette McQueen had this to say of the new feature:

“We are excited to offer this new option to fans who are unable to travel to Charlotte to watch the games in person. Whether a fan purchases a game ticket, or suppports CIAASN, all proceeds go back to our member institutions. The tournament is our largest championship event and the exposure via CIAASN and Aspire TV allows us to showcase to our fans, locally, nationally and even internationally, the talented and hard work our student-athletes and coaches put into the game.”

Those who already have Aspire TV through their cable provider can get the games at no additional charge beginning Thursday, February 28 with the tip-off of the 7:00 p.m. men’s game, extending to all semi-final games on Friday, March 1 and men’s and women’s championship games on Saturday, March 2.
