Ray scored a career high of 33 points in win over Claflin and surpasses the 1,000 point mark for his career. In two games, he averaged 21 points per game. He helped the Blue Bears to go 3-0 for the week.
Newcomer of the Week
#11 Nakia Rivers, Fayetteville State
(Jr, G – Charlotte, NC)
Rivers averaged 13 points in two games this week, including scoring 19 points on 7/14 shooting and 5/10 from 3 point range in his return home and win versus JCSU in helping the Broncos start 1-0 in the Southern Division.
Rookie of the Week

Green scored 34 points and dished out 14 assists coming off the bench in the Lions two games last week. He poured in a career-high 25 points in LU’s loss at Bowie State on Saturday while dishing out six assists. He had nine points and eight assists in the Lions loss at Shaw. For the week, he averaged 17 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals per game.
