Clips Lou Williams seen in Magic City after leaving NBA campus

When Clippers sixth man left the NBA campus Friday for personal reasons ,while newsworthy, we ultimately hoped that whatever issue was deemed by Williams as serious enough to necessitate his departure would work itself out.

However the plot has thickened.

Lou Williams apparently subscribes to the PacMan Jones axion of “ain’t nothin wrong with goin to the skrip club.” That’s right, the Clippers star went to the shake joint.

While this was have a degree of hilarity under normal circumstances, as we are still in the throes of a global pandemic this now carries an air of seriousness and not without consequences.

Williams will have to quarantine for ten days before his allowed re-admittance the NBA campus. The quarantine went into effect Saturday, per the New York Times’ Marc Stein. This will cost Williams the first two contests of the resumed season.

A report by ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne and Bobby Marks Williams attended the viewing of the father of a close friend and then went to Magic City for dinner ( because that is one of the premier eateries in Atlanta).

Williams’ attending of the Magic City had not gone unnoticed by the NBA per the re-entry protocol, a player is quarantined for a minimum of 4 days but can be extended an additional ten days at the recommendation of the league’s infectious disease specialists.

The Clippers will enter the resumption of the season with out Williams as well as point guard Patrick Beverley and big man Montrezl Harrell, both of whom left within the past week to deal with family matters.
