FAMU tumbles in FCS Polls

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M University football team remained in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Polls on Monday, despite falling on Saturday to Bethune-Cookman.

After suffering a heartbreaking 31-27 defeat at the hands of Bethune-Cookman in the Florida Blue Florida Classic, the Rattlers dropped eight spots in the STATS FCS Top 25 to No. 20. In the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll, the Rattlers dropped from 13th to 21st

FAMU’s five week run of being ranked No.1 is all of the major HBCU football polls also came to an end as the Rattlers dropped to fourth in the SBN Black College Football Poll and third in the BOXTOROW FCS Coaches Poll.

The Ratters finished the 2019 football season 9-2 overall, 7-1 in the MEAC; the best record in conference play and conference champions.
