FAMU Women’s basketball announces two signings

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M University head women’s basketball coach Kevin Lynum announced a pair of signings on Monday.

Lynum announced that Malerie Brooks and Tyshonne Tollie have signed with the program.

Malerie Brooks

Brooks, a 5-foot-11 guard, is a senior at Camden County High School in Kingsland, Ga. 

“Brooks is the type of player that can make an immediate impact in our league,” Lynum said. “She has a high basketball IQ and has the ability to score the ball in a variety of ways. She is a great addition to our arsenal of guards.”

Tyshonne Tollie

Tollie, a 6-0 forward, will come to FAMU from Bartow High School in Bartow, Fla.

“Tollie is a lengthy, active player that will make great contributions in our system and style of play,” Lynum said. “She is a player that can play inside/out and create matchup nightmares for opponents nightly and is a high-motor kid that plays tenaciously,”
