Florida A&M set your take on Delaware State

From Florida A&M Sports Information:

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M University men’s basketball team will put its three-game winning streak on the line this weekend as the Rattlers visit Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore in a pair of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference games.

Florida A&M opens the two-game road swing on Saturday at Delaware State. Tip-off against the Hornets is set for 2 p.m. from Memorial Hall Gymnasium. The Rattlers conclude the trip on Monday with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off against Maryland Eastern Shore at Hytche Arena.

Florida A&M (9-13 overall, 7-4 MEAC) is riding a three-game winning streak after home victories over Bethune-Cookman, Howard and North Carolina A&T State. The Rattlers are coming off a 79-60 rout of North Carolina A&T State on Monday where FAMU outscored the Aggies, 54-29, in the second half. The win over NCAT avoided a season sweep for FAMU and needs just two more conference victories to ensure its second consecutive winning season.

Delaware State (3-20, 2-7) enters Saturday’s contest off a 100-86 road loss to South Carolina State. The Hornets have dropped their last three games and have lost six out of their last seven games. Delaware State has won all three of its games at home, with victories over St. Elizabeth, North Carolina Central and Coppin State. On Monday against the Bulldogs, John Crosby scored 26 points, on 10-of-15 shooting, as the Hornets shot nearly 50 percent from the floor and nearly rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit.

Maryland Eastern Shore (3-21, 2-7) will play host to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday before taking on Florida A&M on Monday. The Hawks are currently riding a two-game losing streak and have dropped seven out of their last eight games, with the lone win coming on Feb. 23, a 68-66 victory over Delaware State. Maryland Eastern Shore has won just two games at home, with victories over Clarks Summit and Howard. The Hawks dropped a 68-67 overtime affair on Monday night at Coppin State.
