WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 8, 2020 — The Howard men’s basketball program has paused all activities due to positive COVID-19 test results among “Tier 1” personnel, which consists of student-athletes, coaches, medical staff, equipment staff, gameday operators and officials.

The team will remain in quarantine and will not return to basketball activities until cleared pursuant to CDC and Howard University protocols. This weekend’s scheduled games with Delaware State have been postponed.

Howard University places the safety of our student-athletes first and foremost. We will continue to conduct robust testing and require our athletes to observe safety and social distancing guidelines.
