Dinos Mitoglou and Ioannis Papapetrou have had a great season with Panathinaikos and they confirmed it with a big performance in the Greek League Final. They led the team to an 82-66 win to close out the series with 3-1 and hand the Greens their 39th domestic league trophy, fifth straight.

The team captain Papapetrou logged 24 points, seven rebounds, and five assists while Mitoglou had 23 points and 11 rebounds. They shot 8-13 and 10-14 from the field respectively.

Georgios Papagiannis added 14 points while on the opposing team, Alpha Diallo scored 17 in addition to Tyson Carer’s 14 points.

Lavrio managed to steal Game 2 after overtime but weren’t even close in the rest of the clashes as was the case with the fourth, where Panathinaikos got up into double-digits rather fast and kept the distance until the end.

Nonetheless, Lavrio has made a historic success by reaching the playoffs and even making it to the Finals where they got the one win, during their first-ever display on the biggest stage.
