James Harden ruled out for Game 3

James Harden has logged just one of oncourt action in the Brooklyn Nets Eastern Conference Semifinal playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 2017-18 MVP injured his right hamstring on the first possession of Game 1. Harden exited the game and has been dealing with tightness in the muscle.

This is the same injury that gave him issues toward the end of the regular season and it has already cost Harden Game 2 and it will also, unsurprisingly, keep him out for Game 3 as well.

Harden’s passing ability and vision has allowed him to be a seamless fit with alongside fellow stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. In 36 regular season appearances Harden averaged 24.6 points, 10.9 assists and 8.5 rebounds on .477/.366/.856 splits. His affect on the offense is quite noticeable as in addition to his very potent scoring ability, he helps others get involved and the numbers bear this out. Without Harden on the floor, Brooklyn has an offensive rating of 117.7 and 122.8 with the Beard on the court.
