Jimmy Butler joins heat in sign-and-trade

The Miami Heat have acquired Jimmy Butler via a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers , per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania reported that the Heat sent the 76ers Josh Richardson in the deal.

Goran Dragic was sent to Dallas as part the deal as well.

Charania also adds that Butler will also received the full four year max, which for his is $142 million over those years.

For Butler, this will be his third team since the start of last season and though his bumpy time in Minnesota was well-documented, In Philadelphia he prodded them with “closer” and solid play on both side of the ball.
