Jordan Brand’s upcoming “Why Not?“ x Converse Pack puts together two of Russell Westbrook’s favourite silhouettes- the Air Jordan 16 and the Converse Chuck 70.
The aesthetics of both shoes are inspired by Westbrook’s play on the court and chain link fences, while the collection of materials on each shoe, which range from leather to satin, are a nod to the rock-and-roll styled leather jackets that Westbrook has penchant for wearing.
The studs on the lateral side of the 16’s magnetic gaiter and on the heel of the Chuck 70 hearken directly back to those studs. The cracked leather featured on the upper of the 70 are , according to the Brand, “meant to resemble the concrete foundations of street basketball.”
The Jordan “Why Not?” X Converse Pack will be available beginning October 2 on SNKRS and SNEAKRS.
