Kelly Oubre Jr. won’t play against Knicks

Phoenix Sunda small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. will not play in the team’s Thursday night game against the New York Knicks, according to Arizona Sports’ Kellan Olson.

Oubre entered concussion protocol after sustaining this blow from the Hawks’ John Collins Tuesday.

There is no timetable for Oubre to return as Olson also adds that “once a player is placed in concussion protocol, a player cannot return to the floor until he is without concussion-related symptoms at rest, has been evaluated by a physician, has successfully completed the NBA return-to-participation exertion protocol and a team physician has discussed the return-to-participation process and decision with the director of the NBA concussion program.“

Oubre is having a career year, seeing high water marks in points (18.3), rebounds (6.3), steals (1.5) and field goal percentage (46.5%).
