Kevin Durant-out for game 2 of West Finals

Golden State will be without Kevin Durant for at least one more game. According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes , the Warriors have ruled Durant out for game two of the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazer.

KD has missed the previous two games, spanning the end of the Houston series and spilling over into the conference finals, after suffering an initially scary looking calf strain in game six of the conference semifinals.

Should the Warriors take a 2-0 lead in the series, there will be less incentive to bring Durant back sooner, as in his absence the offense saw an uptick in ball movement, going from averaging 298 passes to game to 325 over the previous two contests and resembling more of the 2015 and 2016 Golden State attack.

Stephen Curry has seemingly put his foot on the gas, offenisively speaking, and scored 69 points over the last two games. Klay Thompson has also poured in 26 points each over the last two games and also has looked more aggressive and assertive on the offensive side of the ball.

If there is any team that could withstand losing Durant and the 34.2 points per game he is putting up in the postseason, it would be the Golden State Warriors.
