Klay Thompson and Golden State Warriors agree to 5 year, $190 million deal

According to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Connor Letourneau, Klay Thompson has agreed on a 5 year, $190 million with the Golden State Warriors.

Thompson suffering a torn ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals and will likely be out for most, if not all of next season, did not deter the Warriors from offering Klay the max. Even before free agency officially opened, the franchise offered Thompson a max deal- a deal he accepted on the spot.

This past season Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest while shooting 40.8 percent from downtown.
