Kyle Kuzma out indefinitely, MRI forthcoming

According to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma is progressing through rehab from the foot injury he suffered while playing for Team USA earlier this summer.

Kuzma has not been cleared for practice and will undergo an MRI once the Lakers return from China.

The Lakers tip-off their preseason October 5 against the Golden State Warriors October 5, but will chase that with games in China against the Brooklyn Nets on October 10 and 12.

Kuzma, who is coming off a career-high 18.7 points last season, will be an integral part of the new look Lakers. With DeMarcus Cousins out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, Kuzma’s contributions will be even more vital.
