Lauri Markkanen headed to Cleveland in three-way swap

The Lauri Markkanen saga has finally come to an end.

In a three-team trade between the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers, the Bulls sent the fourth year power forward to the Cavaliers in a sign-and-trade. The Markkanen deal is four years, $67 million. The Blazers will receive forward Larry Nance Jr and the Bulls will get wing Derrick Jones Jr and a lottery protected first round pick from the Blazers and a 2023 second round pick from the Cavs.

The picks could be crucial for the Bulls as they could be staring down potential ramifications from the tampering investigation stemming from the Lonzo Ball deal.
