Livingstone remains undefeated with 21-7 victory over Allen University

The Yellow Jackets of Allen University (S.C.) came to town Saturday to take on the Blue Bears  at Alumni Memorial Stadium.

The Blue Bear offense came out electric as they got on the board early with a connection from TE Anthony Davis and WR Deandre Vickers to take the Blue Bears up 14 -0 in the first quarter.

Hayes was able to find 10 different receivers on the day, maintain his lock on the top passer spot in the CIAA.

The Blue Bears also had a big day on the ground as Tyrell Baldwin posted more than 100 yards rushing in his season debut. Andrew Faraimo gave equal efforts ending his night with just under 100 yards, but did manage to find the end zone to make the score 21-0.

Faraimo and Baldwin combined for more than 200 yards rushing.

The top ranked Blue Bear defense continued to give opposing offenses and intensity that can’t seemed to be matched through 3 weeks.

Monte “Money” Seabrook came up with another interception, the teams 5thinterception in 3 weeks.
The Blue Bear pass rush kept the Yellow Jackets QB on his toes as Ziah Gibson comes up with his 5th sack on the season.

The Blue Bears also won the turnover battle this week with a Marvin Parkerforced fumble, recovered by Rodney Brooks, making his first start of the season. Brooks was put to the test early and often by the Allen University offense but came up big with 4 pass break ups on the day.  

Allen was able to sneak one into the end zone with a Diquan Brown catch and run for siz to bring the final score to 21 – 7.

Head Coach Daryl Williams has led Livingstone to their third 3-0 start in his tenure with the Blue Bears.

The team is on the road next week as the Blue Bears travel to Lincoln University to take on the Lions.
