MEAC and Blaze Fire Games announce inaugural MEAC Esports winners

NORFOLK, Va.,Oct. 8, 2020 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Blaze Fire Games have announced Myles Poston and Garnet Person as the first MEAC Esports League winners.

Poston (gamer tag: mylesposton) won the NBA2K 20 tournament, while Person (gamer tag: prophet_nf) won the Madden NFL 20 tournament.

Poston is a 2015 graduate of Howard University, where he earned a degree in Business Management. He currently co-owns a sports agency called DEAL with his father, Kevin. The father-and-son duo represents NBA, NFL and professional esports athletes.

Person, representing Coppin State University, is the son of Coppin State Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Nichole Person.

Both players received cash prizes and custom MEAC game controllers, courtesy of Blaze Fire Games.
