Michael Jordan gives out free kicks in his hometown

Today, Michael Jordan returned to his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina to spread some holiday cheer.

The nearly universally recognized  basketball GOAT spent the day handing out Thanksgiving meals and then he chased that by stopping by the Wilmington Boys and Girls Club where he surprised some of the children with some Air Jordans, and that included a box that looked very similar to the packaging of the highly anticipated “Concord” Air Jordan 11.

Jordan had this to say of him giving back to his hometown:

“I wanted to come back and see the city and see how things have progressed and see how things have been damaged. It’s a long road back, we know that. That’s one of the reasons why I started the contributions. So I mean, it’s going to take some time, but I think the spirit of Wilmingtonians are really strong, and obviously I’m one of them. So I felt the need to come back and at least lend that support to them.”
