Minnesota Timberwolves to buy out Allen Crabbe

The trade deadline in the NBA does mean an end to roster modifications for teams. Players who were acquired in trades that were brought in just to make a trade work and/or do not fit in with the long term plan of the ball club ( think vets traded to bad/rebuilding teams) will either be waived or bought out, paving the way for them to sign with other, usually better, teams.

This is the case with guard Allen Crabbe.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the veteran guard and the Minnesota Timberwolves have worked out a buyout agreement.

In January, Crabbe was sent to the Timberwolves in exchange for point guard Jeff Teague and shooting guard Treveon Graham.
