Last year tennis player Maria Sharapova worked worked with Nike to birth the La Cortez, which was her take on the classic sneaker inspired by the city of Los Angeles.
This fall the second incarnation of the La Cortez will become a reality. This version finds its inspiration from NYC’s beauty in autumn, the earthy tones on the sneaker representative of the leaves turning from green. The brown leather upper features a debossed Swoosh and Sharapova’s lollipop logo is etched on the rear heel cuff.
The Nike La Cortez x Maria Sharapova releases exclusively at Bandier on August 22 and at nike.com and Nordstrom x Nike sneaker boutiques August 23.
