Hereda San Pablo Burgos has opted out of Omar Cook’s contract, according to our own Chema de Lucas.

Cook, 39, will become a free agent after capturing a couple of Basketball Champions League titles and the FIBA Intercontinental Cup since joining the Spanish side last July.

He logged 6.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game through the Final Eight held early in the season to complete the 2019-20 campaign. His 2020-21 contribution amounted to 3.8 points, 6.6 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per BCL appearance. The veteran point guard added 5.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 1.4 rebounds per ACB contest.
