Philadelphia 76ers are interviewing for vacant GM position

The Philadelphia began interviewing candidates for their General Manager position left vacant by the resignation of Bryan Colangelo following some infamous Twitter activity.

Yesterday the team interviewed Utah Jazz assistant GM Justin Zanik. Zanik had previously been an agent with ASM Sports prior to joining the Jazz as the assistant General Manager. He joined the Milwaukee Bucks in June 2016 for the same role on the promise he would be the GM-in-waiting.

The Bucks ended passing him up to hire Jon Hurst.

Houston Rockets Executive VP of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas and Golden State Warriors assistant General Manager Larry Harris.

Rosas has been with the Rockets for 18 years and also serves as the player personnel scout for USA Basketball. He was the Dallas Mavericks’ for three months in 2013 before resigning. He was in the running for the Charlotte Hornets ‘GM opening before the club ultimately going with Mitch Kupchak.

Harris is in his eighth year with the Golden State Warriors. He is in his first season in his role as director of player personnel. Prior to joining the Warriors, he spent 19 years with the Milwaukee Bucks in a variety of roles including Director of Player Personnel, Director of Scouting, assistant General Manager and General Manager.
