ATLANTA, Ga. (September 10, 2021) – Kailyn Thrash (Tuskegee) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Female Runner of the Week, while Nelson Kipkemboi (Benedict) earned Male Runner of the Week, released by the league office on Friday.
Female Runner of the Week – Kailyn Thrash, Tuskegee
Thrash had the quickest time of all Tigerettes in the 4K that included Division I, II, and III opponents, running for a personal-record time of 18:49.62 to finish 88th at the Foothills Invitational on Friday at Choccolocco Park.
Male Runner of the Week – Nelson Kipkemboi, Benedict
Freshman Nelson Kipkemboi finished 8th with a time of 19:58 over the 6K course in his collegiate debut helping his team to a fifth-place finish in the CSU Buccaneer Invite.
