Fort Worth, Texas serves as the location of our latest reporting of sneaker-driven absurdity. Here we have two teens who used Facebook to find sneaker sellers and then rob them. Ironically in addition to being their hunting grounds, social media also proved to be their undoing, as that is from where the tips that led to their capture originated. Dubbed the “sneaker robbers” by police, Brittaney Nicole Harrison,19, and Deangelo Antuan Curley,18, both of Forth Worth were the duo accused of robbing two people on two separate occasions.

At approximately 11p.m., one of the suspects met with one of the victims in a parking lot of a Fort Wort apartment complex. The suspect whipped out a pistol, took the sneakers from the victim and fled in a white SUV. Police state both a man and were seen inside the SUV.

The suspect met with their next victim a few minutes later in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart. This encounter follow the same M.O. as the previous one, with the suspect brandishing a handgun, taking the shoes and escaping into a vehicle. As the suspects drove off, the victim held onto the vehicle, being dragged a short distance before falling off.

According to police, both of the victims took images from the social media pagesof the suspects before the suspects deleted their pages.
