Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Seller beaten and stabbed at meetup

Police in Queens, NY are seeking a group of males that allegedly stabbed a teenager and robbed him of his sneakers.

According to law enforcement, at around 10:30 pm on July 15, the 19-year-old victim arranged via Snapchat with a user named “Kenziedaghost” to meet to sell a pair of Yeezys.

Police said that upon arrival at the agreed upon location, 48-06 46th Street in Woodside, the victim was surrounded by seven young men, one of which proceeded to punch and stab him in the back.

The victim was forcibly relieved of $200 and the Nikes off his feet.

The victim was taken by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition.

In a strange and ironic twist of the story, police say that the shoes in question, the Yeezys, were not taken, as he did not even bring them to the meeting location.

Persons with information in regards to this attack and robbery is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
