Police in Hazleton, PA are trying to track down the last two members of a foursome that committed an sneaker-fuelled armed robbery.

March 17 Police were called in regards to an armed robbery that took place at South Poplar Street and Berber Avenue The victim indicated that one of the suspects contacted him on social media to purchase sneakers from the victim, according to police. The victim met with the two unidentifed males and shortly thereafter Christopher and Jonathon Ramirez arrived and began walking nearby.

Within moments, the victim was struck in the face with a gun and the unidentifiable male suspects began to help themselves of the victim’s belongings from his vehicle before absconding In an unknown direction.

The victim noticed also noticed that shortly thereafter fraudulent charges were made using his credit card at stores in Hazle Township’s Laurel Mall.

Responding officers to the robbery arrived to the scene but were initially unsuccessful in locating the suspects. Upon the retrieval of video surveillance Jonathon and Christopher Ramirez were spotted returning to the mall and making purchases with a third male.

The three males were taken into custody after making a fraudulent purchase, according to a police report. Christopher and Jonathon Ramirez were charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit simple robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit simple assault, one count of conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking, one count of conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property and two counts of conspiracy to commit access device Both were arraigned March 18; their bail was set at $150,000.
