Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Trio steals kicks from Soho boutique

Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers once again returns to New York City where three males relieved a boutique of five pairs of kicks without paying.

On Thursday March 14 at approximately 6:15 p.m. three men allegedly robbed the Phillip Plein boutique at 30 Mercer Street in Soho.

The first thief is described as a black male around 5-feet-8 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown eyes wearing a red track suit and black sneakers. The second thief was described as having a similar physical description to the first and was wearing a blue baseball cap, black sweatpants, a jacket and white sneakers. The third member of this thieving triumvirate is said to be an inch taller than his two cohorts.

According to police, the gentlemen lifted five pair of sneakers worth a combined $2,515 from a display before subsequently escaping in a vehicle that law enforcement believe could be a Chevrolet Surburban with partial North Carolina license plate number 3676.

Police are not sure what direction the mystery SUV went in following the robbery,
