Stupid Things People Do for Sneakers: UPS worker charged with stealing kicks worth $1,160

SECAUCUS, NJ — As much as many of us love sneakers, they should never ever cost you your freedom, job or life. Our seemingly never-ending chronicle sneaker-related imbecility takes us to Secaucus, New Jersey.

After stealing three pairs of sneakers valued $1,100 from their Secaucus, NJ facility, a UPS was charged with theft.

According to police Captain Dennis Miller, at 7:48 a.m. on March 15 Secaucus police responded to the UPS facility and arrested 41-year-old Halif Bryant. Bryant was charged with theft, processed and released.

Miller said the sneakers had a total value of $1,160. There was no indication of what brand the stolen kicks were.
