Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Westchester duo arrested for sneaker robbery


A pair of Westchester males were arrested for allegedly robbing a man of a pair of sneakers from the seller.

According o Hudson Police Chief David Dosin, the incident occurred on Monday, December 21 at around 9 p.m. The Hudson PD received a call from a Brooklyn resident who indicated that he was in the parking lot of The Andrus Home completing the arranged meeting with two individuals regrading the sale of high-end sneaker valued at $4,000.

Upon arrivals at the predetermined location, the seller allowed the individuals to take a look a the sneakers and it was at that he was punched in the head by one of the now robbers, while the other took the sneakers.

Officers that arrived on the scene reported the duo fled the area in a dark coloured SUV.

Initial canvassing on the immediate area came up empty, but a subsequent investigation , with help from the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and the Yonkers Police Department the two suspects apprehended and charged with robbery and grand larceny, Chief Dosin added.

David Widulinski, 22, of Yonkers was captured on December 22. He was released without bail before subsequently being turned over to the Yonkers Police on other charges. Jeffrey Ramilo-Santos, 23, also of Yonkers, was arrested on December 28. He , for some reason, was released without bail.
