Thunder waive Austin Rivers, could resurface with Bucks

The machinations of the post-trade NBA continue to play themselves out. Austin Rivers who was involved in the three-team deal that sent George Hill to the 76ers and young big man Tony Bradley to the Thunder, was waived by Oklahoma City on Sunday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.


Charania also adds that the Milwaukee Bucks are the leader in the clubhouse to acquire Rivers’ services. On the season, the son of championship coach Doc Rivers is averaging 7.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 21.0 minutes per contest.
