Utah Jazz make front office changes

The Utah Jazz made some changes in their front office, promoting general manager Dennis Lindsey to executive Vice President of Basketball Operations and assistant GM Justin Zanik to GM, according to reporting by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Lindsey, who had been the Jazz’s GM since 2012, will assume a broader and strategic leadership role, while Zanik will be responsible for the day-to-day duties of basketball operations.

Under Lindsey’s tenure as GM, he oversaw the draft-day trades that brought Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell to the Jazz and also brought in head coach Quin Snyder.

Zanik has built a reputation as one of the NBA’s top young execs. He spent five years as an assistant GM with the Jazz broken up by a year-plus stint with the Milwaukee Bucks where he served as the assistant GM and then interim GM.
