Wade to start at the 2; J.R. Smith to come off bench

Cleveland Cavaliers’ Head Coach Tyronn Lue announced that Dwyane Wade would start at shooting guard and J.R. Smith would come off the bench.

Lue said he came to the decision a few days ago. When accessing Smith’s reaction to the decision, Lue said:

He was fine…It’s tough, you’ve been in a position where you went to three straight Finals and you’ve been the starting two guard. But like I said its about sacrifice if you want to win. J.R. was great about it. Just knows he has to have a different role right now so we’ll see how it works.

Coach Lue offered no explanation on why he selected Wade as the starter.
