X-ray on Kyrie Irving’s injured ankle comes back clean, more testing and treatment to come

And then there was one.

The Brooklyn Nets were already down one star with James Harden injuring his hamstring just 43 seconds into Game 1 of their second round playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks. They could now be staring at entering a critical Game 5 without another star, Kyrie Irving.

The guard injured his right ankle with 6:04 to goin the second when he landed on the foot of Giannis Antetokounmpo after making a layup. Irving would stay on the ground for a few moments before receiving assistance getting to his feet but would make it to the locker room under his power, but with a noticeable limp.

A subsequent X-Ray came back clean and head coach Steve Nash said that he will undergo additional testing and treatment. At this juncture there is no timetable for his return to the Nets lineup.
