The men’s basketball contest will feature Tennessee State at SIUE on Thursday, January 22 at 8 p.m. CT and will air on ESPNU. Tennessee State uses hot shooting in 90-68 thumping of Western Illinois

Spurred by efficient offense, the Tennessee State Tigers were able handily to defeat Western Illinois 90-68 Thursday night.  The Tigers shot 55.7% (34-61)from the floor, 41.2% (7-17)from downtown however mystifyingly connected on just 65.2% (15-23) from the charity stripe, a far cry from the 74% they typically shoot as a team.  After being tied early on at 8 and 10 apiece, Tennessee State reclaimed the lead at 12-10 on Khalil London’s layup at the 13:00 mark. Tennessee State hangs on for 84-79 win at Little Rock

Nkrumah and Harper II’s stellar scoring performances led the Tigers (9-5, 3-1 OVC) in the contest. Tennessee State defeats Tennessee Tech 88-76

A 14-0 Tennessee State run in the first half and the Tigers were able to build on that advantage in the second half as they went on to defeat Tennessee Tech 88-76.  Tennessee Tech got the scoring started, taking a 2-0 lead on a pair of Dani Pounds free throws. NASHVILLE – Travis Harper II scored 23 points, but the Tennessee State men’s basketball team fell to the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks 91-82 at home Saturday. For the second time in two weeks, Tennessee State guard was named the Ohio Valley Conference player of the Week.  The senior helped lead TSU to a 3-0 week, averaging 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and a jaw-dropping 5.0 steals.  Against UNC Asheville, Nkrumah dropped 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and a school-record 9 steals. Ohio Valley Conference announces 2025-26 Basketball Schedule

The Ohio Valley Conference announced its mens and women’s basketball conference schedule for the 2025-26 season.  Once more, the conference tilt features a 20-game round robin docket amongst the 11 conference members.
